Warner Bros. announced yesterday Sheen has been fired from his long-running sitcom Two and a Half Men, one of the most popular shows on US television.
A one line statement read:
"After careful consideration, Warner Bros. Television has terminated Charlie Sheen’s services on Two and a Half Men effective immediately."
Production was halted mid-season on the sitcom in February as Sheen’s partying reached epic proportions and the star entered rehab once again. The show was also suspended last year following his troubles with his now ex-wife Brooke Mueller.
Sheen’s life over the last four weeks has been well documented; a public slanging match with the show’s creator Chuck Lorre, a demand for a 50% salary rise, amassing over 2,000,000 followers on Twitter in record time, waving a machete from an office roof whilst drinking from a bottle labelled "Tiger Blood", inviting the media into his home to meet his two live in "goddesses"... The list goes on and the story is probably far from over.

Hollywood gossip site TMZ has learned Sheen’s lawyer Marty Singer could be looking into legal action claiming "the real reason Warner Bros. gave Charlie the boot is because he insulted Lorre, and that’s not reason to fire him."
Speculation also surrounds the future of the show itself, with claims that John Stamos, star of ER, Entourage and Glee, may replace Sheen if the franchise continues.
