Writer, actress and comedienne Tina Fey, whose hit comedy ’30 Rock’ wraps up its 7th and final season in the USA this week, will not be resting on her laurels!

After picking up her SAG statue for ‘Outstanding Performance in a Comedy Series’ for her role on the show yesterday, Fey spoke to the press and revealed her future plans.

“My [creative] partner Robert Carlock and I have a new overall deal with NBC to eventually - over the next couple of years - develop another television show,” Fey said, according to US Weekly.

Added to that is the news that Fey will re-unite with her ‘Date Night’ co-star, Steve Carrell in a new film titled ‘Mail Order Bride,’ which is also being developed with Carlock. Plus, the hilarious actress is about to commence filming on the sequel to ‘The Muppets’ alongside fellow comedy alumni Ricky Gervais and Ty Burrell.

While many fans are bemoaning the ending of a much-loved cult hit, the writer of ‘Mean Girls’ was also thrilled about ’30 Rock’ having a long life in syndication, saying:

"I look forward to another generation of nerds kind of finding it and enjoying it."
