When Will Ferrell appeared as iconic news reporter Ron Burgandy on ‘Conan’ earlier this year to announce that ‘Anchorman 2’ would be made, the entertainment world exploded with excitement. The exploits of Ron and his San Diego news team quickly became a cult hit when the film was released in 2004, spawning a wealth of endlessly recited quotes and propelling its supporting actors to worldwide fame.

However, now that the entire ensemble cast are film stars in their own right, it’s getting more and more difficult to get them all together to shoot the film! In fact, Steve Carell, who plays intellectually challenged weatherman Brick Tamland, told HitFix this week that the sequel will not begin shooting until February or March 2013. Christina Applegate has to work around her television duties starring in ‘Up All Night,’ while Paul Rudd, Will Ferrell and Carell all have busy film schedules to juggle.

Unlike most movie stars, who would surely be hoping for big increase in screen time, Carell recently told MTV that he loves his character Brick just the way he is.

"I hope he doesn't have any more presence in the movie than he did already," said Carell.

"I hope he doesn't evolve at all."

"If any of those characters doesn't evolve, it's Brick. I think he wears exactly the same thing. I would assume that he would be exactly the same. We'll see though. You never know."

So while we all anxiously await the film’s release in 2013, you all stay classy!
