Boundary-pusher Marc Jacobs’ influence doesn’t stop at fashion - reaching right into the epitome of topical pop culture, he’s been honoured by none other than Comedy Central’s ‘South Park!’
If the American designer’s controversial ad campaigns for his fashion line Marc Jacobs didn’t already get your attention, perhaps you spotted him in Cartman’s room in the season 15 episode ‘1%’.

“That was probably the greatest honor of my entire life so far. I am the Muscle Man Marc doll on ‘South Park’, and I joined the very great ranks of being one of Cartman’s toys — although I get boiled to death at the end of the episode,” Jacobs told New York Magazine’s The Cut.
“I think [South Park creators] Matt and Trey are just probably the two most brilliant people in the entire world, and it is definitely my favorite program on TV ... I have two of Cartman’s toys tattooed, one on each forearm — Clyde Frog and the other one is Rumpletumskin.”
Now the kooky designer has taken his admiration for the show one step further, teaming up with the ‘South Park’ creators to release a limited edition Muscle Man Marc doll!

This is the second time he has collaborated with the boys this year. Back in February, Jacobs featured Eric Cartman, Randy Marsh and Butters Stotch in his ‘Protect The Skin You’re In’ campaign. The charity t-shirts saw the three characters follow in the more fashion-forward footsteps of Dita von Teese, Naomi Campbell and Victoria Beckham, bearing all and hiding only behind a ‘Protect Your Largest Organ’ motto. All proceeds from the sale of the $35 t-shirts are donated to NYU Skin Cancer Institute.
The Muscle Man Marc doll will set you back $125, but you’ll be buying a piece of pop culture to take home and cuddle while you watch ‘South Park’!
Don’t miss all new episodes of ‘South Park’ Tuesdays @ 9:30pm, only on Comedy Central!
