We were treated to fantastic news last year when US media provider Netflix announced that it would commission a new season of the show, due to air in 2013. They also revealed plans to release all ten episodes at once – making them instantly available on the same day, instead of the industry standard of releasing one episode each week.
Since the news broke, there has been a steady trickle of various cast members tweeting photos from the set - and now TV Line reports that silver fox and ‘Mad Men’ star John Slattery will be joining the cast for the upcoming run of episodes!
Studio reps are tight-lipped about what character he’ll be playing, so let the wild speculation begin. Could he be a member of the Magicians Alliance? A mysterious relative of the Bluth family?
Whatever the role, here’s hoping Slattery will feel right at home with the tight-knit cast.
Earlier this week, the show’s producer and narrator Ron Howard told MTV that everyone involved in the project "is in great form and dying to take the characters further."
"They're having the greatest time getting together and getting back into it," Howard said.
"It's cool and bold and funny, and out there taking chances, just like it always did."
With production well underway, the countdown is on until we can be reunited with the delightful craziness of the Bluth family and their associates including Bob Loblaw and Steve Holt! Until then, remember there’s always money in the banana stand…
