This week on Angry Boys…
Pin up babe Emily has pulled out of Nathan’s legends party – so Daniel has to think of someone to take her place…
Introducing Tim Okazaki – the ‘gay’ skater whose tyrannical ‘tiger mum’ Jen rules his career with an iron fist…

In an exclusive interview with Comedy Central New Zealand, the show's creator and star Chris Lilley gave us an insight into how he went about creating the character of Jen...
“A character like Jen, I invented her because I thought it was a great story, where you’re lured into thinking the lead character is Tim, but really it’s all about his mother,” Chris told us.
“And a character like Jen is hard to research. I researched the skateboarding world and a little bit about Japan. And I met a bunch of Japanese women to get them to talk about their kids, and just see how they speak and stuff, but they were nothing like Jen. Much more polite and calm than her!
"So Jen was a complete invention… The characters are always an invention then I go out and meet people just to get things right.”

But the role wasn’t without it’s challenges…
“I was doing Jen and I was hysterical, I couldn’t stop laughing…. And the boy Tim Okazaki, he could not get through being with me without laughing which would bring it on with me, so there was lots of laughs in this show.”
“When you’re there, you feel like such a dickhead because you’re laughing at your own show. Like you’re there, say something, laugh your head off, and the crew are like, yeah good on ya… you wrote it!”
Also on Angry Boys this week, Daniel is getting tired of Nathan’s erm, obsessive extracurricular activities, plus Blake’s “initiations” and his devotion to Mucca Mad Boys is driving a major wedge between him and his missus…
