Baron Cohen, who attended Hollywood’s night of nights as his alter-ego Admiral General Aladeen from upcoming flick ‘The Dictator’, famously dumped an urn full of ‘ashes’ all over the slick E! News presenter on the Academy Awards red carpet earlier this year.
But when the pair bumped into each other at a recent taping of SNL, not only did Sacha apologise – he also revealed that Seacrest wasn’t the original target…
"He comes off stage, comes over to me, breaks character and says ‘sorry about the Oscars, it wasn't personal,’" Seacrest told listeners on his KIIS FM radio show.
"Then he started telling me how it went down…Originally he said that they were going to spill whatever it was in that urn on George Clooney.
“Someone decided that wasn't a great idea because he was up for a lot of nominations, it was a big night that night. Then they somehow spun the wheel of tragedy and landed on my name."
Sounds like Clooney better watch his back!
