After originally being written out of the film for apparent salary and scheduling issues, the Rain Man legend re-joined the production when Universal announced a week of reshoots.
A studio source confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that Hoffman saw a finished cut of the film and decided he wanted to be part of it. They also said that Hoffman’s initial ‘unavailability’ wasn’t salary related.
Hoffman’s scenes reportedly see him reunited with his on-screen wife Barbra Streisand.
Little Fockers stars original cast members Ben Stiller, Robert De Niro, Teri Polo, Blythe Danner and Owen Wilson with Jessica Alba also joining in on the fun.
