The writer and actress told People magazine that she and her composer husband Jeffrey Richmond welcomed baby Penelope Athena into the world last Wednesday.
Mum already to five year old Alice, Tina described the second pregnancy as “easy.”
In April, she opened up to Oprah Winfrey about her agony over deciding to have a second child.
“My husband and I really decided that we felt rather than risk having 30 Rock end in several years and feeling like part of our family is missing that we are going to prioritise our family.”
The actress then went on to joke with Ellen DeGeneres that she wanted to wait to discover the baby’s gender.
“I’m just going to see what it chooses to wear to the prom!”
