Not one, not two, but eight of our favourite shows scored a combined total of 46 nominations. Now, we ain’t too good at the ol’ arithmetic, but it seems like those odds guarantee a win or two.
‘Saturday Night Live’ got a whopping 16 nominations, which means SNL have earned 142 nominations since 1976! The latest cast member to earn a nod is the zany and perhaps secretly brainy Zach Galifianakis.
Not far behind was ‘30 Rock’ receiving 13 nods, with Alec Baldwin, who is no stranger to Emmy love, was once again nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor In A Comedy Series for his performance as Jack Donaghy.

‘How I Met Your Mother’ earned five, ‘Family Guy’ got four, while ‘Louie’ and the ‘Louis C.K.: Hilarious’ special earned two nods each.
Seth Green’s animated stop-motion comedy ‘Robot Chicken’ also earned two noms while the ‘Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode III’ special, ‘The Cleaveland Show’ and ‘South Park’earned one nomination each.
Hosted by Jayne Lynch, the ceremony will take place on 18 September 2011.
